Talisker 10: 45.8% ABV || Always a great whisky

While Talisker 18 (especially the ones before 2010) will go down as one of the all time best whiskies.

This is the 10yo, a whisky I always recommend to people who want a solid single malt but doesn’t cost much and one that’s quite enjoyable.

Talisker 10 is a whisky that I recommend to br in the whisky cabinet of a regular whisky drinker. Talisker distillery is in the isle of skye.

Colour: Gold

Nose: Sweetness. Some golden sultanas & plums. Sharp peat smoke. Coastal flavours (salinity & sea breeze) Warm spices. A lot of maltiness.

Palate: Full bodied. Mouth coating. Coastal flavours with layers warm dry fruits. Peat smoke. Good maltiness. Cracked peppercorns.

Finish: Long. Dry sweetness and subtle peat.

Final thoughts: An all time great core range whisky. Anyone who gets into single malts and enjoys the maltiness will surely find this a great whisky. Always in the ‘must have’ core range whiskies.
